Everyone came together to enjoy an evening of Hallowe’en Bingo on Friday, 21st October 2016. There were lots of spooky creatures about and much fun was had by all!
Here are some of the spooks and ghouls that visited the school on that night! They look very gloomy but that is because they are in character! The pumpkin was kindly loaned to use by Dosbarth Llyn y Fan. The ghost and one of the werewolves (yes, you were not seeing double there were two of them) won the best dressed prizes.
On the evening of Wednesday, 16 March 2016 the Friends held a Nearly New Fashion Show to raise money for new ipads for the school to use within classes. The children were all invited to put their names forward to be models for the clothes and to do the compere’s job. There were not enough boys clothes so we only needed girls. Lots of girls volunteered and we pulled names out of a hat to find out who was chosen. The two comperes were very professional and shared details of the outfits with the audience.
It was a really good evening and we raised £190.99.
Huge thank you to those who provided outfits, helped with the dressing, modelled the clothes, did the presenting and who came on the night to watch!
Thank you to everyone who came to the Valentine’s Disco, we were able to raise £286 for the Friends of the School!!
This evening the Friends of the School held their Winter Fayre 2015. Lots of people had paid to have a table to showcase their products. The School Choir and the Builth Wells Ladies Choir performed songs to delight the people who were attending the Fayre. The Ladies Choir are just back from a very successful trip to London when they sang with other choirs in the Albert Hall in aid of Cancer Research. There were tables with lovely jewellery and Christmas tree decorations, cakes and cookies, hampers and hats as well as candy floss and popcorn machines!! You could even make your own Christmas cracker and have your photo taken in the photobooth which was run by the School Enterprise Club. It was a good job they were serving mince pies and teas and coffees to keep everyone going. Here are some images of the choirs.
Tonight it was the night of the Halloween Bingo hosted by the Friends of the School. Here are some of the visitors from the night. There was a brilliant effort by all those who dressed up both adults and children! Big ‘Thank you’ to everyone!

Friends of the school all met at 2pm on Sunday, 21 September 2014 to take a walk up Garth Hill. It was a beautiful day and we all set off at 2.30pm. We went via the old Co-op carpark and on up Newry Road. We did not take long to get to the style and then it was a short distance to the top of Garth Hill. A huge ‘Thank you’ to everyone who was able to come! Sponsor money will be collected over the coming week and should all be in by 29 September please.
