Welcome to Dosbarth Elan! Croeso!

Our theme this term is ‘Food, Glorious Food.’ During the term, we will focus on health and wellbeing and science and technology before moving on to food heritage. We will aim to develop health-promoting behaviours in our learners and help them to make informed decisions about their physical health, especially in relation to diet, so that they can have the best chance of living long and healthy lives.

In Maths this term, we will be working on money, data and measuring mass. We will be collecting data through our topic work and then using graphs to present our data. We will also be interpreting the data gathered. We will be working on the place value of numbers and being able to read and write numbers accurately. We will work on addition and subtraction, doubling and halving, recognising 2D and 3D shapes and time.

In language this term, we will be learning how to write an instruction text, report and a creative piece of writing. This will be linked to our M and M theatre production performance of Treasure Island. We will also be working on our spelling in both languages on a weekly basis.

Our PE lesson will be every Monday with Miss Davies and swimming will be on Friday.
