Welcome to Dosbarth Pen y Fan’s page. Mrs Protheroe & Mrs Evans are the teachers in class. Mrs Evans teaches on a Monday. Mrs Protheroe teaches the class on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The ALSC provides specialised intervention for identified learners across the school. Learners are provided with a highly differentiated, personalised curriculum.
This term, our topic is ‘The Secrets of Nature’. The children are enjoying learning about all of nature’s secrets including life cycles and food chains. The children have come up with lots of exciting things to learn about and have particularly enjoyed watching live bird box footage of a bluetit and her chicks! We have enjoyed watching the chicks hatch, grow and have learned about how the mother looks after her chicks. We are currently in the middle of trying to persuade Mr Cornelius to buy us a special camera to go inside a bird box, ready to put up in the school grounds!
